Careful Laura. Herr Starmer has identified the "enemy" (anyone not voting for him?) and your critique is unlikely to put you in the "decent" citizen category as we enter the final battle, the one for the nation's soul apparentley.

Anyone tempted by Reform (a lawful political party) is worse than racist according to the Home Secretary though she did not name what was worse. Satanism perhaps? Baby killers? No, can't be that as Mahmood attended a rally for Hamas and Palestinian ethno-nationalism (the only kind allowed). Must be Satanism then. Keep an eye out for local covens then.

Farage flirted with Hitler youth according to David Lammy. Quite a feat as Farage was born long after the Nazis.

Labour has lost its mind. I cannot recall lawful, political opponents being characterised as "the enemy", a statement of essence and lack of moral worth not disagreement over policy differences that used to be the norm. A domestic version of the Charlie Kirk murder just became a bit more likely. So irresponsible unless civil strife is the aim in order to justify the increased surveillance planned. I no longer wholly discount such theories. Instilling fear is the governing narrative.

Perfect commentary on the reality of the situation !! I think he is totally bought and paid for, and it shows with every utterance. Is he a clone? There is zero registering in that Davos brain of his… in a way its good that it is becoming more obvious daily! Might wake up those with any doubts.

Is Starmer AI? Now that's the real question. Devoid of emotions and personality, something not quite right about him.

Artificial intelligence? More like natural stupidity.

I am not bothered if a politician is not a naturally gifted speaker. In fact I rather prefer it as it is harder for them to pull the wool down our eyes. Better raw unpolished honesty than the smooth mendacity of an Obama.

What gets me is the fact that Starmer has a fat PR budget yet still cannot find a competent speech-writer able to craft a text which avoids all the obvious political and psychological pitfalls. Zero emotional intelligence was on display. Like everything else about this shambolic government, it is incompetence on stilts.

None of them are very bright, so it's a difficult ask - a competent speechwriter. Anyone with imagination and intelligence is not a Marxist.

Yep Laura - it was very robotic and having lived a life in ‘sales’ the first rule is NOT to trash talk your opposition as it annoys the customers. Point out key differentiators and positive feedbacks yes - but keep it all civil. AI wouldn’t get that subtle nuance just yet! 2TK is finished come May elections and if he has any dignity will resign.

The politicians of the world are pushing hard to tear down everything about our present society, on both sides of the Atlantic. The absolute only way that they will be successful is with our compliance.

Cnut knew he couldn’t hold back the tide. Starmer, being a less astute politician, still thinks he can hold back the Reform tide.

Did he choose the right LLM?

Best LLMs for Writing Prime Ministerial Speeches

When selecting a language model (LLM) for crafting a prime ministerial speech, consider the following attributes: coherence, context understanding, and ability to convey key messages effectively.

Top LLMs

LLM NAME KEY FEATURES IDEAL USE CASE

GPT-4 High coherence, context retention, versatile tone Drafting speeches with complex themes

Claude AI Strong in conversational tone, user-friendly Engaging speeches for diverse audiences

PaLM 2 Excellent at summarizing and generating ideas Creating concise, impactful messages

LLaMA Open-source, customizable for specific needs Tailored speeches for specific events

Considerations for Speech Writing

Audience Understanding: The LLM should grasp the audience's expectations and preferences.

Message Clarity: It should help distill complex policies into clear, memorable points.

Tone Appropriateness: The model must adapt to the formal tone required for political speeches.

Conclusion

Choosing the right LLM depends on the specific needs of the speech, including the audience and the message. GPT-4 is often favored for its advanced capabilities, but other models like Claude AI and PaLM 2 also offer valuable features for effective speech writing.

As an almost inveterate reader of science fiction as a young person (I am now old) none of this is surprising. One of the attributes of sci fi is that it future proofs, all of the present travails have been imagined and written about.

Take refuge in a bit of surrealism, it helps me, but then I am deeply fascinated by the weird fringes of reality talking of which I see David Lammy has been confusedly time travelling again.

Not only did Henry VII follow Henry VIII and collaborate with Marie Antoinette to come up with radio active stuff that facilitated freeing the occupants of the Bastille on the Fourth of July he has now stated that Mr Farage "flirted with Hitler Youth".

Hitler Youth ceased taking on new members at the end of WW2, unless anyone knows differently.

I know that our Nige can be remarkably coquettish at times so his flirtation with anything is plausible but he was called into existence in the year of our Lord 1964, sometime after Hitler Youth closed to new members.

To Time Lord Lammy it's easy to link Farage with a defunct Nazi youth club.

There we are, a country led by a hollow, reptilian, totally uncharismatic individual; one who would need any help he could get, AI included, to speechify. A "leader" whose deputy is an accomplished buffoon.

Can't get any better than that can it.

Think of Stalin and Malenkov, just for a larf.
