I remember reading up on the hazards in applying Behavioral Science (BS) campaigns that go beyond the ethical restraints that playing with people's minds comes with back in 2020 as I was doing my own research on the pandemic BS that was being shoveled on us. The ethical behaviorist guidebooks cautioned that if BS campaigns that cause hardships are later found to have been the result of untruthful manipulations that the authorities responsible will be subject to significant blowback and backfire responses by the population. Not only losing credibility, but possibly destabilizing to entire governments.
Turns out, people don't like being lied to. And will give authorities every benefit of the doubt if untruths are discovered to avoid reconciling the fact they fell for the lies. But once the lies are exposed and undeniable, not just "mistakes were made, it was a crisis, we were scared" but willful, deliberate lies and deception resulting in hardships that were completely unnecessary, should that undeniable a reveal occur governments can fall.
Which is why these bastards will continue to gaslight us. For "national security." Fact is, they aren't continuing to lie for national security, they're still lying for their own personal security. They confuse themselves with government. They abused their power, abusing the people they served. And deserve to be held to full account for their crimes committed against the people under the "color of law."

You have been a stalwart Laura - and I cannot begin to understand how the ones who initiated this can pretend they weren't involved or that it was meant to harm - they knew and know what they have done - whilst these times have been so awful for so many - it did wake many of us up to the reality of their lies.

The U-turns from some of the "bad actors" are truly astonishing. I can only conclude that now the truth about the unnecessary pain, if not downright evil in some instances, inflicted on the population is coming out, the perpetrators are experiencing the level of fear that they did all they could to perpetrate.
