We made new friends, tweeted our heroes directly and whispered sweet nothings in an ever-cascading timeline before bed. Wisdom chirruped around the world in 140 character capsules. News was delivered at lightning speed by people you liked and trusted. I crowdfunded my first book thanks to Twitter and Facebook. It was useful, fun, free and full of possibility.
